Your Neighbors Trust the Eisenlauer Team

My post title is an example of Comparability as described by Tim Ash. His article in Website magazine also quotes Dr. Robert Cialdini for ways to create influence and trust in today's marketplace. Do you agree with his 6 universal principals?

  • Reciprocation - we tend to return favors - so give in order to get.
  • Scarcity- If its unavailable - I want it. Even perceived scarcity generates demand.
  • Authority - If an expert says it - it must be true.
  • Consistency - If people take even a small stand, they're likely to honor that commitment.
  • Consensus - People look for 'social proof' of what others are doing.
  • Liking - People are likely to buy from people they like.

Put us to the test, The Eisenlauer Team wants to be your local real estate experts. We're giving, we are unique, we can speak with authority because of our longevity in the Des Moines market. People like us and we're nice and dog-gone-it, nice is important. You'll like us. Ask your neighbor.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

As I've written before, my sister and I were both diagnosed with breast cancer and went through treatment in the past 6 months. I finished my radiation treatment in February. My sister, because she also had chemotherapy, just completed radiation last week. Her daughter, Renee and my son, Bob have organized to enter a team in the upcoming Cancer Walk in Des Moines. The team, Birdie's Bosom Buddies, is in our honor. (Thank you Renee and Bob). The walk is May 1 at Ponderosa Village at 9:00 A.M. If you'd like to walk with us, that would be great fun - the more the merrier! If you'd like to donate to the cause through our team, that would be great too.

More important to me, schedule and get your annual mammogram. My sister's and my cancer were both found through annual mammograms. If you're not a female, you know one. Encourage those around you to get their exam. A friend, whose sister died as a result of breast cancer, told me, if he had any idea she wasn't going annually, he would have taken her there personally. Don't have regrets. Knowledge is power, and there is so much good medicine now, breast cancer has fewer casualties than in the past.

Lastly, probably everyone reading this knows someone else with breast cancer. Call them, write a note, encourage them, pray for them. From a visit to my chiropractor this morning, I learned the whole body needs time to heal from the trauma of the surgery and treatment, maybe a year. So don't let up - keep us in your prayers.

Opening doors in Pleasant Hill

The Eisenlauer Team are in the Des Moines Register today. The article is about a Pleasant Hill Blitz that was organzied by Bill Eisenlauer and Linda Westergaard. There was cooperation with about 30 Realtors with over 60 houses open over two weekends in March. Businesses in the community participated too, offering items for door prizes. Mayor Jason Dively helped promote the event. "It went so well that I think we're going to probably try to do it again in September sometime" said Dively. Bill Eisenlauer was quoted saying "We like it (Pleasant Hill) because it's a right-sized community. It's a small town, yet in a big town. We're very convenient with the bypass going around here." Eisenlauer also said "the housing market is starting to come back a little bit. The new construction's just going gangbusters out here in Pleasant Hill" You can read the rest of the article here. The house in the photo is one that was sold due to the "Welcome Home, Pleasant Hill" promotion. If you're ready to buy or sell call

My Gnomies are Happy its Spring

Spring Has Arrived! Aren't you glad? My little garden gnomes are happy there's something in the garden to admire. Granted, there's some clean-up there that's long over-due, but the daffodils are in full bloom today!
Consider how the lilies (or the daffodils) grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his splendor, was not dressed like one of these. Luke 12:27.

HAPPY EASTER
