This is tryptophan in action. Turkey has in it an amino acid called tryptophan. It is an essential amino acid, the body can't manufacture it. So we must (over)eat turkey in order to get tryptophan, which in turn helps our body produce serotonin which acts as a calming agent in the brain and plays a key role in sleep. Just study these photos if you don't think it works.

Happy Birthday Grandma Doris
Tuesday, November 11, 2008
I had my packages all ready to go to the post office, when I was reminded that it is Veteran's Day. There should be a guide as to what is open on what holidays. Is the library open? Are the banks open? How about Wall Street? We know the gas prices can go up no matter what day it is. I did find this fun site that answers one question. Does the mail run today? You can type in any day, any year, and it will simply tell you yes or no! Now if we can only find a solution for city, state, federal and private holiday closings....

VOTE EARLY, VOTE OFTEN...oops, I mean VOTE!
It's your duty, your obligation, your privilege, your right....No matter how you consider it, and who you're rooting for - Make Sure You VOTE! Just in case the mere act of making a difference isn't enough - here are some promotions for those of you who keep your " I Voted" sticker on throughout the day.
Free star-shaped donut at Krispy Kreme. You have to go to the store on 86th between University and Hickman for this one.
Free cup of Coffee at Starbucks
Free music download at Rock the Vote
The Chick-Fil-A at Jordan Creek will give you either a free chick-fil-a sandwich or a free milk shake. Your "I voted" sticker will be your coupon (they will take it from you...), so you might want to save this one for last.
